Homemade Almond Milk

Ingredients:
-1/2 cup raw almonds, soaked for 6-8 hours
-4 cups filtered water
-3-4 dates, pitted and soaked for 15-20 minutes
-1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
-Soak your almonds in water with 1/2 tsp sea salt for 6-8 hours or overnight.
- Drain and rinse your almonds and put them in your blender.
-Add in your filitered water, dates and vanilla.
-Blend on high for 3-4 minutes. I know this seems like a really long time to blend, and it is but it's necessary to get the creamy consistency.
-When you're finished blending, pour milk through a nut milk bag and squeeze out all of the liquid. If you don't have a nutmilk bag just use cheesecloth or a fine mesh seive. You will have a little bit of sediment in it if you use the seive but it doesn't bother me. It's still very tasty. Store in an airtight container for one week in the fridge.
